Problem Statement

Xccelerate helps people find their passion whilst learning tech skills. The challenge is to create a seamless and engaging learning experience that helps students achieve their career goals.

My Contribution

I joined Xccelerate in 2021, I've contributed to the product development of different platforms to the present day. As the Chief Experience Officer, I lead the design and user experience of Xccelerate's platform. As a team, we are ensuring an optimal experience for learners, mentors, and B2B clients. My responsibilities include:

Designing the interface, website, and overall user experience
Applying UX and service design principles through continuous research and iterations
Creating and managing the curriculum for the UX/UI Design Program
Recruiting and managing UX mentors
Collaborating with the CEO and COO to set goals and tasks for the company

Solution and Impact

The Why? - Context

By providing a holistic learning ecosystem, Xccelerate aims to bridge the gap between talent and income opportunities, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the tech industry.

Hypothesis

By creating a comprehensive learning ecosystem that combines pre-recorded curriculum, live mentorship, and job opportunities, Xccelerate can effectively support students in achieving their career goals and contribute to the growth of the tech industry.

Research Methodologies and Results

User interviews: Conducted interviews with current and prospective students to understand their pain points, learning preferences, and career goals. Key insights include the need for flexible learning options, personalised guidance, and practical application of skills
Usability testing: Tested the platform's key features and flows with users to identify areas for improvement. Findings suggest the need for clearer navigation, more intuitive task flows, and better integration between learning resources and job opportunities
Surveys: Gathered feedback from students and mentors on their overall experience, satisfaction levels, and suggestions for improvement. Results indicate high satisfaction with the quality of content and mentorship, but a desire for more interactive features and community engagement
Competitive analysis: Evaluated similar learning platforms to identify best practices and areas of differentiation. Insights include the importance of mobile-friendly design, gamification elements, and personalised learning paths
